The question of emancipation opened up the possibility of touching on other anthropological topics, where the question of the hypocrisy of contemporary society came to the fore, the politics of double standards both in society and in the Church, particularly emphasizing three burning conflicts: the war in Ukraine on European soil, the escalating conflict in Ethiopia, and the ruthless suffering of the Palestinian people, especially in the Gaza Strip. It was pointed out that there is an insufficiently clear voice and action from the Orthodox Church regarding the terrible suffering of the people in the Holy Land.
As the meeting progressed, the atmosphere among the participants increasingly filled with genuine collegiality, freedom for everyone to express themselves on the questions raised and to be heard, even in moments when the deepest emotions surfaced, confirming only our unwavering commitment to the church and care for her, as well as care for the other and the whole creation that suffers and struggles…
